Although it might not be the type of feud WWE fans were expecting for Daniel Bryan on SmackDown LIVE, he's going to have an opportunity to win some gold at Extreme Rules.

After the release of BIg Cass, Bryan was thrown into a programme with Harper and Rowan of The Bludgeon Brothers.

While many had already predicted it, Kane returned to WWE to assist Bryan from a beatdown courtesy of the former Wyatt Family members to reform Team Hell No.

Understandably, there's been some disappointment towards this storyline as many expected the former SmackDown general manager to be in the WWE Championship picture by now.

Considering his contract is the focal point, it's no real surprise as to why the WWE is hesitant in putting him in the championship picture.

Based on advertisements, however, it suggests that WWE is confident Bryan will remain in the company.

Although, nothing can be said until he finally puts pen to paper or tells WWE he'll be on his way out once his contract ends on September 1.

Now, Cageside Seats has revealed that fans will receive a much better indication of what his future is going to look like very soon.

This is because WWE will finalise one of two plans for SummerSlam for Bryan at Extreme Rules, where Team Hell No battles The Bludgeon Brothers for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

According to Still Real To Us, the conclusion of the match is going to set up Bryan's SummerSlam match.

One idea WWE is currently discussing has The Big Red Machine quickly turning on Bryan - again - to dissolve Team Hell No.

If the heel turn takes place, then it's expected that Bryan will take on Kane at SummerSlam in Brooklyn.

The other idea which is reportedly being discussed is The Miz costing Bryan and Kane the title win at Extreme Rules - with The A-Lister not featured in a match on the pay-per-view.

If The Miz does interfere, then it's thought that the dream match between Bryan and The Miz will take place in Brooklyn instead.

Earlier this month, reports emerged that WWE was looking to have Bryan feature in dream matches and feuds quicker than initially planned.

This was so that they could get the most out of Bryan in case he did leave.

So, if Kane ends up battling Bryan at SummerSlam, then it's a strong indication that Bryan could stay in WWE and the WWE will make fans wait in even more anticipation for the clash against The Miz.

If The A-Lister does interfere, then it's a feud WWE is expected to quickly get out of the way ahead of Bryan's potential exit, with The Miz possibly reigning supreme.
