Tyson Fury's opponent for his second fight back from his two-year exodus has finally been confirmed.

It's been well-known that Fury will step back into the ring in Belfast on August 18, on the undercard for hometown fighter Carl Frampton's WBO interim featherweight title fight against Australian Luke Jackson.

Fury's opponent had been a mystery though until it was announced by promoter Frank Warren earlier this week.

That man comes in the form of Francesco Pianeta, an Italian-born German fighter who standing at 6 feet 5 inches tall, will surely be a little bit closer to landing shots on Fury than his last opponent Sefer Seferi was.

The 33-year-old has recorded 35 wins over his career, with four defeats and a draw also to his name.

His first ever defeat came in 2013 to former unified world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, who Fury dethroned in 2015, and has lost two of his last three fights to a 38-year-old Kevin Johnson - who Fury has also defeated - and young undefeated Croatian fighter Petar Milas.

It will be interesting to see if the likes of Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder, Dillian Whyte and Tony Bellew will be watching on to see if Fury is still the real deal as he eyes up some lucrative - and possibly world title fights for 2019.

Some fans will see this as another walkover fight for the 'Gypsy King', but hopefully not a glorified sparring session like the victory over Seferi in Manchester.

Fury has guaranteed that will not be happening though, and has been given specific instructions by his trainer Ben Davison on how to approach the fight.

"We saw the joker in the last camp, we saw the showman, the entertainer," said Fury, as reported by British Boxing News.

"Ben wants a serious approach this time and that is what he'll get.

"Everything is great, but if he wants me to be serious about this fight then I will be serious," added Fury.

"I'm not serious about anything in my whole life, everything is like fun and games - even Klitschko. I wasn't serious - I was doing all dance moves, everything.

"But listen, if Ben wants serious, Ben will get serious. I'll go in there and do my job and that's it.

"I won't even smile once!"

We'll hold you to that, Tyson.
