After winning the Premier League by a ridiculous 19 points last season, it’s hardly surprising to see Manchester City made heavy favourites to win the Premier League in the 2018/19 season.Pep Guardiola’s side have the potential to exceed their 100-point haul from last campaign with their young squad only more experienced one year on.And it seems the Spaniard is keen to make his side even stronger and will be looking towards winning the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history. He’s done that by signing a quality player in the form of Riyad Mahrez.Mahrez has arrived from Leicester City for £60 million and will only add strength to this incredible City side. However, his official unveiling outside the Etihad Stadium was rather underwhelming.City are often criticised for failing to sell out their stadium and there didn’t appear to be many people to welcome Mahrez to the club. However, there were two ‘Moonchester’ mascots either side of a small stage. What made it even more laughable were the four sparklers that went up as Mahrez stood on the stage. The two ‘Moonchester’ mascots then did a little dance.Even Mahrez himself looked like he didn’t want to be there.

MAHREZ'S EMBARRASSING UNVEILING

FANS CAN'T STOP LAUGHING AT MAN CITY

Unsurprisingly, football fans were destroying Man City for their rather embarrassing unveiling:

City don’t help themselves, do they?

MAHREZ WANTS THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Having already won the Premier League with Leicester, Mahrez insists that he wants to win the Champions League with his new club.

"City have ambition to go further than the Champions League quarter-finals like they did last season," he said.

"I made the decision to come here because I want to be part of that.

"The Champions League is for big clubs. They're a big club, they have everything to try to win it.

"Pep is a big manager - he's won a lot of things and made history with this club.

"I'll give my best to achieve for the club. If I can help add quality."
