The Hardy Boyz return at WrestleMania 33 was one of the highlights of 2017.

That night, Matt and Jeff captured the RAW tag team championships and went on to defend them a couple of times before losing to The Bar at Extreme Rules.

Unfortunately, their run as a team ended in September of that year - after Jeff suffered a torn rotator cuff that sidelined him for a number of months.

THE SINGLES RUN

With his brother out long-term, Matt began a singles run and introduced the world to a "Woken Warrior" - giving fans what they'd been asking for since his return from TNA.

Woken Matt has since formed a new partnership with Bray Wyatt and has recaptured the RAW tag titles - so he's doing just fine on his own.

Jeff isn't doing too bad himself either. After making his injury comeback in April, he won the United States Championship from Jinder Mahal.

To cement his run as a singles competitor, he was drafted to SmackDown Live, away from his brother who stayed on RAW.

DAREDEVIL WRESTLING

Despite suffering a pretty serious injury towards the end of 2017, Jeff has remained a fan favourite in WWE due to his daredevil style of wrestling.

However, it does appear that he may finally be slowing down - and has recently stopped using his most famous finisher - the Swanton Bomb, at WWE Live events.

Speaking last week, he explained why he's had to do that.

PROTECTING HIS BACK

"The toll has been rough at times," Hardy told CantonRep.com, per Ringside News

"Lately, my lower back has really been bothering me to the point where I haven’t been doing the Swanton as much in the live events just to protect it.

"I think looking forward I’m gonna have to be more like that because nothing lasts forever."

Although WWE fans love to see Hardy perform that move, he needs to think about his health at this point in his career.

It's actually quite amazing that so far Jeff hasn't suffered any career-ending injuries, because his move set is one of the most dangerous in pro-wrestling.
