Former Tottenham midfielder Didier Zokora has urged Sevilla team mate Luis Fabiano to swap Spain for North London.

The Ivorian midfielder played for Spurs for three years and still has fond memories of his time in the Premier League.

He now believes that Fabiano should move – despite the fact he cannot play for the White Hart Lane outfit in the Champions League.

Fabiano played for Sevilla in their Champions League qualifying matches against Braga, which means he will be ineligible for the competition all season.

The Spanish club have slapped a £25 million price tag on the Brazilian’s head, which Harry Redknapp is not willing to pay because he only has one year left on his contract.

Zokora told Sky Sports: “I think he will have a good possibility to play for Spurs as they have good strikers like Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch and a good midfield.

"London is the best city in the world, but the Spanish and Portuguese do not like the weather as it is too cold there.

"He's spent five years with Sevilla and maybe he wants to change something, but if he has a good opportunity to play in England, why not?"
