Liverpool fans absolutely love Roberto Firmino.

The Brazilian works so hard for Jurgen Klopp’s side in the centre-forward position but there’s no doubt he can play as well.

Many would argue that he’s the most important part of Klopp’s gegenpressing style with some suggesting that ‘he doesn’t fit the system, he is the system.’

Despite his 27 goals for Liverpool last season, he obviously didn’t impress Brazil coach Tite enough to him to start ahead of Gabriel Jesus at the World Cup.

Firmino was restricted to substitute appearances and, even though he impressed each time, failed to start a game as Brazil crashed out at the quarter-final stage.

He did manage to grab himself a goal in Brazil’s last-16 clash against Mexico, though.

Although he didn’t play many minutes at the World Cup, Firmino is enjoying a much-needed rest before he returns to Liverpool.

He’s back in his native country and, on Saturday night, was enjoying a meal with friends.

He was in his hometown of Maceio and went into a local Japanese restaurant New Hakata for a meal.

In fact, he enjoyed the place so much that he decided to treat everyone to a beer.

That’s according to the manager of New Hakata, Ede de Cassia.

“He spent the whole night with people taking pictures with him, and was always very polite,” he told UOL Esporte in Brazil.

“Then he called me over and asked 'How many people do you have here?'. I said between 200 and 300, and he said he could give everyone a round of beer.

“I asked if I could tell people this, and he said yes. So the singer of the band spoke into the microphone that Firmino was buying everyone a round of beer.

“At first, the reaction was positive, but after that I had to contain people!”

Not only that, Firmino persuaded the owners to keep the bar open until 3 am - when it usually shuts at 12:30 am - with the band continuing to play long into the night.

Roberto Firmino - what a legend.
