Now that the World Cup is coming to an end, the final few weeks of the Premier League transfer window will start to get really frenetic.

Business hasn't exactly been slow, but with the earlier deadline this season of August 9, clubs will quickly look to bring in some of the stars of the summer.

Or in other cases, they will have to start fighting tooth and nail to keep hold of their best players.

You get the feeling that Cristiano Ronaldo's move from Real Madrid to Juventus will have a domino effect somewhere, as Los Blancos desperately need to fill the gap that they've lost.

Neymar and Kylian Mbappé have been heavily linked, but it looks most likely that Eden Hazard will be their main target, given his comments about it after Belgium beat England 2-0 for third place yesterday.

He claimed that "you all know my preferred destination", after saying he will talk to Chelsea and see what the situation is.

And now, his club and international team-mate Thibaut Courtois has spoken out about his Stamford Bridge future.

The 6'6" goalkeeper has been with the west London club since signing from Genk in 2011, though he spent two years on loan at Atletico Madrid.

There have been rumours about a move to Real Madrid, and he has only 12 months remaining on his current contract.

And he has now dropped a major hint that he could be heading through the exit at Chelsea, as he believes he is worth more than the £200k-per-week contract they offered him, though he is still happy at the club.

"I will go back and I will see what they want and how they say it," he started.

"Obviously, with this World Cup, I think what was on the table is different than what I can have.

"In this World Cup, I have ignored all the speculation, all the rumours. But now, in the next few days, I will have a chat with my agentand see what Chelsea told him, and then we will talk. But I feel happy at Chelsea, it’s not that I necessarily want to leave.

"People always complain that players don't comply with their contracts, but maybe they do. I don't think they will keep someone with my qualities on the bench, even if I don't sign (a new contract). But maybe (staying) is possible, because I like it in London."

According to the Telegraph, the Blues are prepared to sell Courtois given that they risk losing him for free next summer if they keep him.

He would be very hard to replace though, given his imposing frame in the goal.

It's sure to be an exciting few weeks, as the countdown to the deadline is on.
