An extremely entertaining 2018 World Cup ended with a star-studded final as France beat first-time finalists Croatia 4-2 in Moscow.
Both teams were unchanged from their semi-final wins and many people thought the midfield battle involving N'Golo Kante, Paul Pogba, Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic would be key.
With Olivier Giroud failing to register a shot on target before Sunday, France's main attacking threat came from Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann.
19-year-old Mbappe has lit up the tournament in Russia with four goals, while Griezmann has scored the same number of goals as well as providing two assists.
That said, football fans around the world who tuned in to the massive match were left very angry by the Atletico Madrid man's actions before France's opener.
What Griezmann did before France's opener
France took the lead in the World Cup final in the 18th minute as Griezmann's dangerous delivery was unintentionally headed into his own net by Mario Mandzukic.
However, before that, the 27-year-old Frenchman went down very easily under what seemed to be little, if any, contact from Marcelo Brozovic.
The Croatian midfielder was fuming by the decision, and as you can see in the video below, he has every right to be.
Football fans react to Griezmann's dive
In addition to Griezmann appearing to dive, viewers also pointed out that VAR wasn't used at all by the officials in what is the biggest match in football.
If that wasn't enough, Pogba attempted to head the ball and could've been in an offside position - check out some of the best reaction on Twitter below:
Ivan Perisic's brilliant 28th-minute strike levelled things for Croatia, only for Griezmann to restore Didier Deschamps' side's lead with a VAR-given penalty ten minutes later.
France took firm control of the final by scoring twice within six second half minutes and fought off a late Croatian revival to win their second World Cup.
