France have been crowned World Cup champions after defeating Croatia 4-2 in Moscow.
Didier Deschamps went into the game as favourites, and they got off to a great start when Mario Mandzukic headed into his own net.
Ivan Perisic restored parity, only for Antoine Griezmann to convert from the penalty spot ten minutes later.
And France began to dominate after the break as quick goals from Paul Pogba and Kylian Mbappe gave France a three goal advantage.
A Hugo Lloris howler gifted Mandzukic and Croatia a goal back, but France held on to secure their second world title.
There were a number of superb performances across the park for France, but arguably the best player on the pitch was Pogba.
The Manchester United man has come under fire for his performances this season, but he silenced the critics with a fantastic display in the final.
Patrice Evra clearly enjoyed Pogba’s performance, and after his goal he sent a quite brilliant video on Twitter about the 25-year-old, calling on the public to ‘respect him’.
Watch the video below:
He said: “Respect him. Why you always talk bulls*it about my brother, Paul.
"Respect him. I can’t wait until you’re back in England with the trophy. I swear I will do the same hair. Respect my brother.”
What a character Evra is. The left-back is never shy to post on social media, but that may be the best video he’s posted.
Man United fans saw his video, and they absolutely loved it.
In all honesty, Pogba has not been at his best for Manchester United since making a £89 million move from Juventus in 2016, but he has not deserved the criticism he has had in recent times.
Graeme Souness is just one pundit that Pogba proved wrong on the world's biggest stage on Sunday.
Man United fans, however, will be hoping he can produce his performance in the World Cup final on a more consistent basis for Jose Mourinho's side next season.
