That is truly class from Arsenal. Giroud accumulated 253 appearances in a red shirt during his stint at Arsenal, scoring 105 times.
Despite him moving to their London rivals, It's good to see Arsenal congratulating a player who was such a good servant to the club.
Arsenal fans clearly loved the tweet, with the post attracted over 25,000 'likes' within two hours of being posted.
Although France were crowned world champions, Giroud has flattered to deceive on a personal level.
And he addressed his poor form in the lead up to the final against Croatia.
“Each time, there isn’t much missing for me to score. Either I’m embarrassed at the last moment, or the defender covers well,” he said.
“It is true that I would have liked to help the team more against Belgium in the semi-final. But it was not to be the case.
“But I remain confident in my chances of scoring in the final against Croatia and helping the team bring back this Cup. I really hope to do it in the final. We are really on a small cloud and we hope to stay there.”
