France were crowned the 2018 World Cup winners after seeing off Croatia 4-2 in the final on Sunday afternoon.
It capped off a wonderful tournament for Didier Deschamps' men, who saw off Argentina, Uruguay and Belgium on route to the final.
That is now the second World Cup triumph in France's history, with Les Bleus also having won the title in 1998.
But despite having overcome everything in their path, there have been a few critics of this French side.
After narrowly defeating Belgium 1-0 in the semi-finals, Thibaut Courtois bemoaned that his side lost to a team that played 'anti-football'.
Eden Hazard also added to those comments, claiming: “I prefer to lose with this Belgium than win with this France."
And after the World Cup final, Dejan Lovren has now come out and attacked France's tactics.
The Liverpool defender complained how his side were the better team, while also claiming the French did not play football at all.
"We have been better today and overall we have been better," he said, per the Daily Mail.
"France didn't play football. They waited for their chance and they scored.
"They had their one tactic and you have to respect it. They played every game of the tournament like that.
"I am disappointed because we lost the game but we played much better football then them."
Doesn't seem as if Lovren was impressed with France throughout the whole tournament, let alone in the final.
Although some could argue that Lovren was simply speaking the truth, his words do come across as slightly bitter.
Lovren was not the only Croatian to think that they were the better side in Moscow.
Luka Modric also commented how Croatia were the better team, although he did not criticise France's tactics in the same manner as the Liverpool defender.
“The second goal was a turning point," he admitted. "We were surprised it [the penalty] was given because of the free-kick the referee gave for the first goal which wasn’t a free-kick in my opinion.
“I think we were unlucky to lose. We played well and I think we were the better team but sometimes better teams don’t win.
“We have to be proud with how we played but it wasn’t enough to win it.
“We recovered after the first goal and when we played our best football he gave a penalty and it kills you."
