Kaka discusses Ronaldo move

The Portuguese superstar won it all at the Bernabeu - and Kaka believes that’s part of the reason why he has decided to join Juventus.

Talking to Omnisport, Kaka suggested Ronaldo thinks his time at Real had simply run its course.

"I think Cristiano is a very experienced player now, 33 years old so he knows and understands the situation very well," Kaka said.

"This decision to move from Madrid to Juventus, it's a very conscious decision. He knows [it's] time to move.

"[He's probably thinking] I achieved everything I could with Real Madrid and now it's time to do something different to keep motivated.

"That's what moved him to accept the offer from Juve to change from Real Madrid to the Italian team."

Kaka played with Ronaldo at Real Madrid and so he will certainly have an idea of his thought process.

His transfer will go some way to increasing the attention surrounding Serie A, which has fallen by the wayside in recent years while La Liga and the Premier League have stepped up.

Besides Juventus, it’s been a struggle for Italy’s top clubs to attract the biggest names in world football.

Indeed, Mohamed Salah’s move to Roma can be viewed as a stepping stone before he returned to the Premier League as a star.

But with Ronaldo at Juventus, it will be impossible to ignore Serie A this season.

Wherever Ronaldo goes, football fans usually follow.
