Since he signed a four-year deal with the team in free agency, Los Angeles Lakers fans haven't had a chance to get a glimpse of LeBron James.He informed the franchise that he didn't want a press conference or any fanfare around his arrival and chose to keep a low profile after it was announced that he was joining the Lakers.But on Sunday, the King finally chose to make his first public appearance since he became a member of the purple and gold squad.James attended LA's Summer League game against the Detroit Pistons in Las Vegas on Sunday and as you'd expect, it was a big deal.

All eyes on the King

LeBron's every move was caught on camera as soon as he entered the building.

Donning Lakers shorts and purple shoes, the 33-year-old strolled into the arena and took his seat courtside to watch his young teammates in action.

He was greeted with a rousing reception from the crowd inside the Thomas & Mack Center with many Lakers fans in attendance.

It wasn't just the fans who were excited to see the four-time MVP as young shooting guard Josh Hart sprinted over to meet his new superstar teammate before the game tipped off.

The second-year man clearly had a spring in his step with James watching on as he produced an impressive display on the night.

He led the Lakers to a 101-78 victory with 18 points and a team-high four assists in 22 minutes of action.

Hart is likely to get minutes playing alongside LBJ next season and clearly wanted to put on a show.

The 23-year-old received MVP chants from the crowd when he headed to the free-throw line, to the amusement of James.

Brandon Ingram was also in attendance and immediately walked over to greet LeBron before taking his seat.

The former Cleveland Cavaliers star was clearly enjoying himself and broke out into a dance as he was shown on camera at one stage.

After the game, he shared an embrace with his former Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue and the pair spent time catching up.

The 13-time All-Star signed a four-year, $154 million deal with the Lakers and will have a very young but talented group of players around him.

As well as Hart and Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma will once again be key figures on the team next season.

With Los Angeles advancing to the semi-finals of the Summer League for the second year in a row, it has seen the emergence of other promising players such as Moe Wagner and Sviat Mykhailiuk.

We may even see more moves made by Magic Johnson and the front office this summer but the buzz in Tinseltown is evident as they have an exciting season ahead.
