That is Kante summed up to perfection - the most humble World Cup winner imaginable.

It's no wonder everyone loves the former Leicester City midfielder.

Luke Modric won the Golden Ball award but Gary Lineker believes Kante was the best player at the World Cup.

“For me, N’Golo has been the best player at the World Cup,” Lineker told L’Equipe.

“He’s not really the type of guy we speak about or try to push forward as a star.

“With Kante, France play with 12 men. He counts as two midfielders on his own. He’s everywhere.

“His quality of pass is excellent and he can break the lines. He’s able to push the ball forwards."

Kante has picked up two Premier League titles, a PFA Player of the Year award and an FA Cup since moving to England in 2015.

Currently aged 27, Kante will surely be hoping to take part in Qatar in four years time.
