Prior to his loss in the first round of his UFC Heavyweight title fight against Daniel Cormier at UFC 226 on July 7, Stipe Miocic made a record three consecutive title defenses and hadn't lost since 2014.However, as soon as his UFC 226 fight was over, UFC and Cormier turned their attention to Brock Lesnar, who entered the Octagon after sitting at ringside during the fight. It resulted in a confrontation between Cormier and Lesnar, while Miocic was pretty much forgotten about despite what he has done for the UFC Heavyweight division since becoming a champion in May 2016.Miocic has since expressed how disrespected he felt when UFC decided to focus on Cormier and Lesnar after his loss inside the Octagon. He told ESPN when asked about Lesnar's appearance at UFC 226: "It was a s--- show and it was disrespectful. I didn't think that was what the UFC was all about."He continued: "I thought they were going to interview me [after the fight] and I was going to ask for a rematch. When Brock came in, I said, 'I'm out of here, I don't need this circus.'

"How can you give a guy a title shot who hasn't fought in over two years, is suspended, and his last fight is a no-contest because he was taking PEDs?"

Rematch

The former UFC Heavyweight Champion said as well that, for his next fight, he won't consider any other option other than a rematch against Cormier for the Heavyweight title he lost.

He said: "I want a title shot. I deserve it. [Lesnar] hasn't fought in how long? For him to get a title shot, as I get thrown to the side? It just seems like they are desperate for pay-per-views.

"I cleaned out the division. I defended it more than anyone, and you're gonna tell me I don't deserve a chance to get it back? Get out of here. Kiss my ass if you don't think I deserve that."

Miocic said as well that he received an apology from Dana White for what happened between Cormier and Lesnar inside the Octagon after his fight, but he said the apology doesn't mean anything because it's what they wanted.

The former UFC Heavyweight Champion also took to Twitter to demand his rematch against DC.

Cormier intends to fight Lesnar early next year when he becomes eligible following his suspension, but has not ruled out taking another fight in 2018 in the meanwhile.

However, as of writing, he has not expressed much interest to date in a rematch with Miocic.
