According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors have agreed a trade for Kawhi Leonard and DeMar DeRozan.

News of this potential deal gathered pace last night as it was reported by multiple outlets that the two teams were engaged in serious talks.

Woj reports that discussions have been taking place for two weeks and an agreement was finally reached on Tuesday and is set to be finalised today.

As part of the deal, Danny Green will also be heading to Toronto and the Spurs will receive Jakob Poeltl and a protected 2019 first-round pick.

DeRozan, however, is the one Toronto player who has been told about the trade.

President Masai Ujiri told the All-Star about the decision to offload him to the Spurs late on Tuesday night, per Wojnarowski.

Thanks to a cryptic post on his Instagram page, we've discovered that the shooting guard is far from happy with the outcome.

The 28-year-old posted an IG story hitting out at the Raptors for misleading him.

DeRozan wrote: "Be told one thing & the outcome another. Can't trust em. Ain't no loyalty in this game. Sell you out quick for a little bit of nothing... Soon you'll understand... Don't disturb..."

He also deleted all of his posts on the social media platform.

According to ESPN's Chris Haynes, franchise officials met with the All-NBA guard in Las Vegas last week and told him that they wouldn't be trading him summer.

This sudden u-turn has understandably angered DeRozan after he committed his future to the team as a free agent in 2016.

He signed a five-year, $139 million contract and expressed a desire to spend his entire career with the Raptors.

The Los Angeles native has been with Toronto for nine years and has been the face of the franchise for many seasons.

But after they suffered a second consecutive sweep in the playoffs to the Cleveland Cavaliers, it was always expected that the team would make drastic changes this summer.

It began with Dwane Casey losing his job but there was always a possibility that they could trade one of their star players.

Both Kyle Lowry and DeRozan were made available for a trade and they have now chosen to part with the latter in exchange for Leonard.

We've seen how the player has reacted but it'll be interesting to see how Raptors fans will feel about this blockbuster deal.
