Back in April, Bobby Lashley made his long-awaited return to WWE, one night after WrestleMania 34.

The Dominator spent a decade away from the company, working both on the independent wrestling circuit and in MMA.

Since stepping back onto Monday Night RAW, Lashley has had a number of high profile feuds.

IN THE TITLE PICTURE

His first singles storyline after a number of tag team matches was against Sami Zayn, which concluded in a victorious effort at Money in the Bank.

Following that, Lashley was thrown into the main event picture - going one-on-one with Roman Reigns.

As we all know, The Big Dog is Vince McMahon's top guy, so just sharing the ring with him would have probably been a surprise for the returning star.

But he went one better at Extreme Rules, by beating Reigns clean, in what was a very unexpected result for many.

The win suggests that WWE management trust Lashley as a main eventer - and next week, he'll take on Reigns again, with the winner moving on to SummerSlam.

HOW HIS FEUDS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED

Although WWE are clearly putting their trust in Bobby, it may be taking the fans a little while longer to warm to him.

His storyline with Zayn didn't exactly have the WWE Universe on the edge of their seats - and it's only since he's been feuding with Reigns that fans are beginning to take notice.

Now, a majority of people probably do want him to go on to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship - but that could be more because they don't want to see Roman do it again.

Arguably, Lashley is the better of two options for most.

So, we're starting to gauge how fans view Lashley's return, but how do other WWE superstars feel about it? Well, Reigns himself has helped answer that one.

A ROCKY RETURN

Speaking recently to NBC Sports, The Big Dog revealed that he thinks Lashley's return was a little "rocky" at the beginning, but that he's become far more comfortable since.

"From the get-go, I think it was a little rocky. I think he's really settled in and he's getting comfortable and you could tell that it seems like he's starting to feel at home again," Reigns said, per Rajah.

"When you leave WWE and you move around a little bit you can kinda get out of the shake of things. It seems like he's really getting comfortable.

"He had a great showing on Sunday, [but] next Monday's not gonna be the same."

So Roman, although suggesting that he'll get the better of his rival when they meet next week, does admit that Lashley is starting to find his feet again in WWE.

Whether The Dominator can go on to headline SummerSlam instead of The Big Dog though, is yet to be seen.
