Austin Aries has given some advice to those WWE stars who might need it.

It turns out that Austin Aries was actually released by WWE but rather he didn’t request it. Many fans were caught off guard when the news broke last year. The news seemed to come out of nowhere and was a shock to fans.

Aries, who signed with the company back in 2016 and last appeared on television in May on 205 Live, had been in a top position in the cruiserweight division prior to his release by WWE.

He was a big star on 205 Live on the WWE Network. He feuded with WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville that included a match at WrestleMania 33 in April in Orlando, Florida that aired on the pre-show as well as a classic Submission Match at the Extreme Rules PPV (pay-per-view) event.

Unfortunately for Aries, he lost both matches. Aries is currently promoting the release of his autobiography, “Food Fight: My Plant-Powered Journey from Bingo Halls to the Big Time.”

His options are wide open now that he is not under contract with WWE. He decided to go back to Impact Wrestling and is currently their World Champion.

The Belt Collector took part in a media call on Wednesday where Aries gave some advice to those WWE who feel that they are not being used as they should be in the sports entertainment company. Here is what he had to say (transcript courtesy of Wrestling Inc):

"I mean listen, if there's a number of men and women over there who feel they're in a position where they're spinning their wheels," Aries said.

"Or maybe not getting the opportunities they feel they earned that are immensely talented. I'm not gonna name names but I think anyone in that position who wants to better themselves, I think Impact Wrestling provides a platform at least that's not gonna tie you down and lock you in and give you the opportunities to actually go and prove that."

"They go and do that also independently across the world. So you know it's a unique opportunity. Listen, there's a lot -- they have a huge roster and there's a lot of talent on there. There's only so many spots and so many hours of television.

So you know I'm sure there are people who feel like they're getting left out or they're not getting the shots that they want, and if they find themselves free and clear, it's cool. There's a nice vibrate professional landscape right now for people to go out and apply their craft."
