We're around one month away from the SummerSlam pay-per-view and the coming weeks are going to feature some major announcements about the potential bouts taking place.

The August 19 event in Brooklyn already has Alexa Bliss defending her RAW Women's Championship against Ronda Rousey.

BIG SUMMERSLAM MATCHES

Online advertisements have already spoiled that AJ Styles will defend the WWE Championship against Samoa Joe while there are talks of a big Brock Lesnar match.

Although Roman Reigns battles Bobby Lashley on Monday Night RAW next week, there have been rumours that The Beast could end up defending the Universal Championship in a triple threat match.

Considering WWE now sees SummerSlam as a mini-WrestleMania, it's evident that the big announcements are going to continue to pour in as each episode of RAW and SmackDown LIVE passes by.

There's the prospect of another triple threat match with Shinsuke Nakamura defending the United States Championship against both Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy.

Fans will be eager to know what the plans are for big names like Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre and even Braun Strowman.

However, one name that hasn't even been in the conversation for a while now is John Cena.

CENA AT SUMMERSLAM?

Cena hasn't been around since he took on Triple H at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia shortly after WrestleMania 34.

It's no secret why; he has plenty of outside projects on his plate as his Hollywood stock continues to increase which means his SummerSlam status was always up in the air until he decided to return.

Cena has now taken to his notorious Instagram account to drop a significant tease about who he could be facing at SummerSlam.

Fans that follow Cena's strange account will know that he's famous for either trolling or foreseeing what could happen in WWE - although, he doesn't have the greatest of track records.

While he was successful when 'predicting' AJ Styles was coming to WWE, he trolled the fans with countless references of Kenny Omega potentially following in his footsteps.

CENA VS. 'TAKER II?

As you'll be able to see below, fans believe his latest post suggests he'll be facing off against The Undertaker at the biggest party of the summer.

Following on from Cena's quick loss at the Grandest Stage of Them All, it was thought that the two could do battle at WrestleMania 35 in a rematch.

However, rumours have suggested that The Deadman could feature at SummerSlam, while Cena's status hasn't been cemented yet.

Sources have indicated that for The Phenom, it's looking like a rematch of some sorts, indicating that Cena is the frontrunner with Reigns potentially in the Universal title picture.

If rumours are to be believed, then the two could be facing off at SummerSlam instead - even if WWE is yet to announce any match for either man.
