With the underwhelming Extreme Rules event in the books, the focus can finally turn to the exciting SummerSlam pay-per-view next month.

As of this writing, only one match has been made official - conditionally - where Ronda Rousey will battle Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women's Championship.

SUMMERSLAM

After Monday Night RAW and SmackDown LIVE next week, we'll know who both Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles will defend the Universal and WWE Championships against in Brooklyn.

This week, the rumoured NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn card had been revealed with many on social media claiming it could be the best event in NXT history.

With the stars of NXT piling the pressure on the main roster to impress at SummerSlam, it looks like they could have the chance to do that as Ringside News has shared what the rumoured SummerSlam event is currently looking like.

UNIVERSAL CHAMPIONSHIP

We know The Beast will compete, and next week Bobby Lashley battles Roman Reigns to determine who will get that opportunity.

This is despite Lashley defeating Reigns at Extreme Rules.

According to multiple sources, Lesnar is expected to defend against both men in a triple threat match.

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP

On SmackDown, general manager Paige is going to reveal who AJ Styles will defend his WWE Championship against.

This week, fans on social media made a case for Andrade 'Cien' Almas to be given that opportunity, but leaked graphics have already revealed who The Phenomenal One will battle.

It's all but confirmed based on those graphics that Styles will defend his gold against Samoa Joe at both SummerSlam as well as Hell in a Cell the following month.

RAW WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP

Rousey gets her second opportunity at the RAW Women's title at SummerSlam by taking on Bliss.

Based on speculation, it's thought that Rousey is a lock to leave as the new champion, as WWE is simply paying her too much money to not make her the champion soon.

SMACKDOWN WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP

It looks like WWE is finally moving Asuka out of the comedic and underwhelming feud with Carmella and James Ellsworth following the Extreme Rules match.

It was pretty clear on SmackDown which way this one is going to go.

It's expected that Carmella's next challenge will be Becky Lynch - at long last.

RAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS

Early rumours indicated that The Deleters of Worlds would drop their titles at SummerSlam against The Authors of Pain.

Instead, The B Team threw a spanner into that plan, and the source is now claiming that Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas could defend their championships against Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy, as well as The Revival in a triple threat tag team match.

UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP

Shinsuke Nakamura now has the title and Randy Orton has come out of nowhere to put himself in title contention.

While it was thought that Jeff Hardy could be taking some time off to heal some injuries, the source is reporting that it will instead be a triple threat match featuring all three men.

JOHN CENA VS. THE UNDERTAKER

This is a rumour that isn't going to go away until the event has passed.

While WWE hasn't made an announcement regarding either man, it was claimed that The Undertaker had displayed an interest in competing in Brooklyn.

Since then, several sources have reported that it's going to be a rematch of some sort - if he does compete - while Cena's social media activity suggests it could be a WrestleMania 34 rematch.

DANIEL BRYAN VS. THE MIZ

It looks like WWE is accelerating the plans for Daniel Bryan after what unfolded at SmackDown.

Bryan's contract seems to be the focal point regarding how his plans can be affected, and with Kane out injured, Bryan could meet The Miz in a highly anticipated contest at SummerSlam.

SASHA BANKS VS. BAYLEY

WWE intentionally kept Sasha Banks vs. Bayley off the Extreme Rules card so that it could happen at SummerSlam instead.

This is because it'll be in the same venue where they both arguably had their greatest match against one another, so it makes a lot of sense to hold off on it until SummerSlam.

These are only some of the matches - without the names like Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Braun Strowman and more yet to be featured.

No pressure, NXT.
