At long last, Liverpool have signed the top-class goalkeeper they've lacked since Pepe Reina. For years the Reds have struggled with second-rate shot-stoppers, from Simon Mignolet, to Adam Bogdan and most recently Loris Karius. All prone to making mistakes, all not good enough. But times are changing at Liverpool and now Alisson, who cost £66m, has become the latest big-money signing to arrive on Merseyside.Jurgen Klopp is on to something special, there are no two ways about it, and that's exactly what convinced Alisson to join from AS Roma. When asked if last season's game at Anfield in the Champions League played a part in him leaving Italy, the Brazil international said: "In part it did influence the decision, yes."When you make an important decision like this it's not just a decision to change clubs, it practically changes your entire life, my family's life, my wife, my daughter.

ALISSON'S A RED

"That game definitely did have an influence but I also watched other games. I've seen other games where I could see the way Klopp had the team playing.

"That has made me really excited to be part of this group. Apart from the fact that the club is massive, the players that have come through here and the titles won.

"Hopefully I can play a part in the history being created here, win titles and be a part of the project that has been developed here in the past few years so we can see Liverpool rise once again."

As with every new Liverpool signing, behind-the-scenes footage has been released on YouTube of Alisson arriving at Melwood. Check it out below.

It's now been viewed over 50,000 times and Liverpool fans have noticed something very promising about Alisson: his English.

He may be Brazilian and may have spent the last two years in Italy, but Alisson's English is very strong, which will no doubt help him gel and communicate with his new teammates.

Communication at the back is key in the Premier League and Alisson being able to speak English will really help Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Dejan Lovren and Andy Robertson.

Here's how Liverpool fans have been reacting to Alisson's quality of English.
