Considering he was only given around £50m to revamp Arsenal's squad, Unai Emery has done very well in this summer's transfer window. So far the Spaniard has landed Stephan Lichtsteiner (free), Sokratis Papastathopoulos (£17m), Bernd Leno (£19m), Lucas Torreira (£26m) and Matteo Guendouzi (£7m).He's yet to sell any of Arsenal's deadwood to make back some of that money, of course, but it's expected the likes of Danny Welbeck and David Ospina will be sold.Welbeck, who has been linked with a move to Everton, could return as much as £15m, while Ospina is available for somewhere in the region of £5m.Take into account that £20m and Emery will have balanced the books and kept his superiors at Arsenal very happy. However, it would appear the spending isn't over just yet. Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman has been linked with a big-money move and Emery is said to be very interested. And according to Spanish outlet Marca, negotiations are at an advanced stage for Arsenal to sign another goalkeeper... wait, what?

EMERY'S LATEST ENDEAVOUR

Despite already having Leno, Petr Cech, Ospina, Emiliano Martinez and even Matt Macey to choose from, Emery is reportedly eyeing a SIXTH goalkeeper.

And his name is Yann Sommer, the 29-year-old shot-stopper at Borussia Monchengladbach.

Sommer has three years remaining on his contract in Germany, so he would cost Arsenal a fair amount of money, and he could be arriving at the Emirates Stadium very soon.

This begs the question: what on earth is Emery thinking?

Arsenal already have plenty of decent options in between the sticks so it doesn't make an awful lot of sense to sign another goalkeeper.

It's plausible that Cech could be on his way out as well as Ospina, but for now Arsenal fans are just plain confused by the situation. Here's how they've been reacting.
