Chelsea and new manager Maurizio Sarri are set for a busy end to the transfer window.

After weeks of stalling over the dismissal of Antonio Conte, the Blues have their new boss and are clearly aware that they need to invest heavily in their squad.

Daniele Rugani, Aleksandr Golovin and Gonzalo Higuain are just some of the high-profile names being linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge.

However, the growing concern is that a number of key members of their squad could be on their way out of west London this summer.

Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois and Willian have all been heavily linked with moves to either Barcelona or Real Madrid - both in Hazard's case.

Losing the mercurial winger and their talisman would be a devastating blow to the club and it seems they're now aware that the situation is getting more and more likely.

In fact, the Blues have now made a conclusive plan in the wake of his desire to leave the club.

The Times are reporting that Chelsea have identified Manchester United's Anthony Martial as the man to replace Hazard.

And what is interesting is that they want the Frenchman to actually lead the line, not play out wide. However, they're currently unwilling to match United's €100m valuation.

It suggests that if Hazard were to remain at Chelsea under Sarri that the Italian would be prepared to play him through the middle, similar to Dries Mertens at Napoli.

Martial's future at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho appears to be a lost cause, with the Guardian reporting that the Frenchman is keen to end his stay in Manchester.

The Red Devils won't let him go easily, but if Chelsea do come in with a huge offer after a cash injection from a Hazard deal, they would probably sell to avoid a stand off.

Martial is also nearing the end of his contract, so the club would surely want to make some money off of him while they can.
