Thibaut Courtois' time at Chelsea looks like it's coming to an end.
After helping the Blues lift the Premier League title in 2014/15 and 2016/17, Belgium's number one looks like he's returning to Spain.
Real Madrid appear on the cusp of securing a deal for Courtois as he appears unwilling to extend his current deal at Stamford Bridge.
His family still live in Madrid after his days out on loan with Atletico.
Roman Abramovich is apparently keen on keeping him for the last year of his contract, but that would surely change if Real Madrid do put in a serious bid.
Courtois' loss would be a huge blow for Chelsea and would surely send the club into panic-mode with regards to finding a replacement.
The transfer window closes on August 8th and signing a top-class goalkeeper will not be easy.
Gianluigi Donnarumma has been linked, as have two fairly underwhelming options in Petr Cech and Joe Hart.
However, The Sun are reporting that Chelsea's goalkeeper hunt has been narrowed down to two new names; Jack Butland and Jordan Pickford.
The reason for their interest in England's shot stoppers is that the club are keen on acquiring a home-grown keeper to work with for the future.
Chelsea are also aware that Pickford - after a stunning World Cup campaign with England - would cost around £60m.
But given their interest in Alisson Becker - who joined Liverpool for £67m - it seems logical that they would meet Everton's valuation.
Butland would probably represent an easier deal to complete given the fact that Stoke are now in the Championship.
He'd also cost around half the price of Pickford, with the figure of £20m being quoted in the report.
Nevertheless, neither of England's goalkeepers can really match Courtois for quality and the Belgian's impending loss would be a huge blow.
Not qualifying for the Champions League could come back to haunt the Blues...
