Dwyane Wade's NBA future is very much up in the air as he's still undecided about playing on or retiring this summer.

The veteran recently stated that he's focusing on "life after basketball" right now and will take time to consider his playing career in the near future.

He's currently on a promotional tour in China where he signed a lifetime deal with shoe brand Li-Ning.

Offer on the table

Wade is a hugely popular figure in that country and this lucrative partnership will see him have a connection to that region for the rest of his life.

But if he wishes, the 12-time All-Star can potentially become an even bigger star in China as he could have an opportunity to play out there.

According to Sportando, the Chinese side Xianjiang Flying Tigers are preparing to make a "monster" offer for the shooting guard.

Wade is unlikely to get anything more than a veteran's minimum contract if he signed with an NBA team so this reported offer could be enticing for him.

At the age of 36, it may be something that he'll seriously consider, especially as he's extremely invested in growing his brand in the Far East.

"Right now, I’m focused on the game after basketball. Whatever happens in basketball, it happens," he said, per Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press.

"I've done everything that I can to this point to put myself in this position I am today, where I can do something that hasn't been done globally yet.

"The basketball will take care of itself. I'll sit down and figure that out once I get back from this tour at some point."

The former Finals MVP has indeed achieved almost everything he can and it should come as no surprise if he does decide to end his career overseas.

The Miami Heat are interested in re-signing their franchise legend but they won't be given an answer on his decision until he completes his commitments in China.

The two playing options he has will appeal to him in different ways.

He could return to the Heat and finish his playing days contributing to a playoff team or he can take the huge deal abroad and accept a new challenge where he could expand his brand off the court.

Or he may simply choose to call time on his illustrious career and announce his retirement.

At this moment, he doesn't seem to be in any rush to make a choice for his future.
