Liverpool fans on Origi

Plenty of Liverpool supporters on social media were up watching the match against Dortmund on Sunday night.

Origi moved to Merseyside for £10m four years ago but, with just one year remaining of his contract, it feels like his time may be running out.

The general consensus is that he's simply not good enough.

Origi has been linked with a summer move to Newcastle and plenty of Liverpool fans are urging him to go.

If Liverpool don't sell him before the August 9 deadline, Origi could leave on a free transfer next summer.

His stats v Dortmund were pretty damning too.

Origi played for Belgium in the 2014 World Cup but his career has gone backwards since moving to Liverpool.

At the beginning of pre-season, a "positive" Origi insisted that he was going to let his feet do the talking in the weeks ahead.

"I am happy to be back. It feels a bit like I am familiar with everything and I never left, so it was easier for me to integrate back into the group", he told Liverpool's official website.

"I learned a lot mentally [at Wolfsburg] and grew a lot. I think I've come back more mature.

"I am very excited for the new season. I just have to keep my focus on enjoying myself on the pitch and giving everything.

"The next few weeks will show. The feet do the talking on the pitch, so we will see how it goes. I am positive."

Roberto Firmino was incredible last season but questions have been raised about Liverpool's back-up options up front.
