Dillian Whyte can do his chances of a title fight the world of good when he takes on Joseph Parker this weekend in London.

Despite there not being any belts on the line, neither can afford to lose the bout particularly as the 30-year-old eyes a rematch with Anthony Joshua.

Of course, it was AJ who robbed Parker of his unbeaten record back in March.

The Body Snatcher has made it clear that he is already looking beyond Saturday night and there has even been talk of facing Tony Bellew.

Realistically, it seems most likely that the Liverpudlian will meet Oleksandr Usyk and that fight seems to have gained considerable momentum over the past few days.

Both men have declared they are ready for the showdown and Eddie Hearn has confirmed that talks could begin as early as this week.

However, Whyte has not closed the door on Bellew and has taunted him by alleging he doesn't want to fight real heavyweights.

Whyte has his say on Bellew

"I'll happily fight Tony Bellew any day of the week as anyone knows, if he wants to step in and fight a genuine heavyweight, which we know he doesn't," he said on Dillian Whyte: Heavy Duty, via Sky Sports.

"Bellew is trying to live his life. He's had a hard career, beating David Haye who was a cruiserweight as well.

"I'm just annoyed at the fact that's he's trying to campaign as a heavyweight, but there are certain heavyweights he doesn't want to fight."

Whoever takes on Bellew next will almost certainly be the 35-year-old's last opponent, or so he plans.

Since stepping up to the heavyweight division, he has twice beaten an ageing David Haye but has openly spoken of his concerns at carrying on in the sport.

While the first occasion was riddled with doubts over the Hayemaker's fitness as he limped around the ring with an Achilles injury, the second fight ought to have been the perfect way for Bellew to end his career.

It will be very interesting to see how he responds to Whyte's comments.
