It's safe to say that Bobby Lashley has had somewhat of a rocky start to life back in WWE since returning the night after WrestleMania 34.

If anything, the mixed bag of opponents he's gone up against speaks volumes about just how much of a rollercoaster it's been for him.

ROCKY RETURN

From Elias to Sami Zayn, right through to Roman Reigns.

Unfortunately for him, he was unable to secure himself a spot in the Universal Championship match at SummerSlam.

Despite defeating The Big Dog at Extreme Rules, their singles match on Monday Night RAW this week seemed to take precedence over their pay-per-view contest as the former Shield member took home the win.

That means Reigns will challenge Brock Lesnar yet again for the Universal Championship, while fans are left wondering what role The Dominator is going to have in Brooklyn.

Although that's still up in the air, it hasn't stopped Lashley from taking part in the SummerSlam media duties when he featured in a conference call with media outlets.

When speaking to GiveMeSport's Alex McCarthy, Lashley was asked who he has been impressed by the most.

He called Reigns phenomenal but claimed that Elias, Finn Balor and Braun Strowman are his favourites.

He even cited Apollo Crews as one of the most underrated stars in WWE.

FAVOURITES

He posted: "On a conference call with Bobby Lashley: I asked him who has impressed him most in #WWE since returning, he calls Roman phenomenal, but goes on to say Elias, Braun Strowman & Finn Balor are some of his favourites, but he thinks Apollo Crews is underrated.

"He said: 'I hope they find something for @WWEApollo because he has so much untapped potential.'"

Apollo, at one stage, was said to be the next big thing in WWE.

That certainly looked the case when he from Uhaa Nation to NXT and then to the main roster relatively quickly.

Since then, however, he hasn't lived up to those lofty expectations as he's been stuck in Titus Worldwide with no real direction.

If anything, it can be argued that he's in the same boat as Lashley himself following his disappointment on RAW this week.
