Roman Reigns has always had a rough ride on the main roster ever since The Shield disbanded.If anything, the booking decision made on Monday Night RAW this week only made matters worse for him after he defeated Bobby Lashley.

There was plenty of outrage on social media following RAW, as the win meant The Big Dog punched his ticket to SummerSlam where he will battle Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.
This means it's the third consecutive time the former Shield member gets an opportunity against Lesnar, following on from his failures at WrestleMania 34 as well as the Greatest Royal Rumble in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
One of the primary reasons why fans hated the decision was because it meant Lashley's win over Reigns at Extreme Rules meant absolutely nothing.
Although the majority of fans dislike Reigns, they felt that a triple threat match at SummerSlam which also featured Lashley would be the better decision to go with.
One thing is clear, though, life is relatively tricky for Reigns on RAW, and it's why there's even been a speculated cash-in reported to take place in Brooklyn, with Kevin Owens battling Braun Strowman for the briefcase.
LASHLEY'S THOUGHTS
The hate Reigns has received is always a big talking point.
Every WWE star that talks about him always speaks positively of him and Lashley is the same.
GiveMeSport's Alex McCarthy had the opportunity to participate in a media call with The Dominator, where he shared his thoughts on the reaction Reigns is receiving.
According to Lashley, it kills him to be out in the ring with someone of his talent, only for fans to boo him.
He posted: "Bobby Lashley on Roman Reigns: 'It kills me to be out in the ring with somebody of his level and the crowd be divided as to whether or not he deserves to be in the position he is - and I don’t get it.
"He has the look, he’s a great athlete and he’s a great in-ring performer. #WWE."
Lashley isn't the first to defend Reigns from the criticism.
Recently, Shinsuke Nakamura also said the same thing, citing Reigns' wrestling skills as one of his strong points, despite it being an area where he's often criticised.
