Anthony Martial's future at Manchester United will feature heavily in the headlines up until August 9.The Frenchman has been unhappy under Jose Mourinho's rule for some time, with rumours constantly suggesting he will look to leave Old Trafford this summer. He has until the 9th, which is the deadline day for English teams, to try and sort his future. The Guardian have reported that Mourinho would consider selling him, but only if it was to a team outside of the Premier League. However, Martial may wish to remain in England, with Tottenham and Chelsea both interested in the Frenchman. He only has one year remaining on his deal, so United may be forced to sell to a direct rival if they wish to make any money. There is a clause in his contract which allows United to trigger a further year extension, but Sport Witness point out that Martial can actually challenge the clause.

It's a very sticky situation.

With his future in such a precarious position, United and fans have had to start thinking about a potential replacement for the former Monaco man.

And the Mirror setup a poll allowing fans to vote for their choice out of the five of the most likely candidates.

Gareth Bale, Willian, Ivan Perisic, Ante Rebic and Christian Pulisic were the players chosen by the paper.

Looking at that quintet, you'd think Bale would be the winner by some distance, right? Despite the fact Real Madrid are reluctant to sell.

Well, he wasn't, because Borussia Dortmund's Pulisic actually came out on top, with Bale coming second.

Perisic was the third most popular choice, with Willian right at the bottom.

Guess the fans want youth to replace youth, with 19-year-old Pulisic undoubtedly one of the most promising talents in world football right now.

Nevertheless, it's pretty unlikely that the American will be making the switch this summer, with Mourinho favouring either Willian, Perisic or Rebic.
