Dillian Whyte's highly-anticipated bout with Joseph Parker is only a few days away. The two heavyweights surprisingly agreed to face each other back in June in an attempt to boost their chances of competing for the belts once again.Parker lost his WBO strap to Anthony Joshua back in April, while Whyte wants a rematch with the Watford-born champion in the near future. The bookies can't really split the pair and there will likely be a lot of surprises on the night at the O2 Arena.Going into the fight, the trash talk hasn't been too fierce, with Parker remaining very quiet and concentrating on his training. As such, Whyte has been busy calling out other fighters, launching an unexpected attack at Tyson Fury.Speaking to iFL TV, the Body Snatcher said: “I’ve asked to fight Tyson Fury [in] September this year. I’ve asked to fight Tyson Fury a few times, we made an approach.

“We were trying to get this work [to] September [in] but Tyson’s not ready, right now I would steamroll that sucker.

"It took him about three rounds to get his mojo back against that tomato can [Sefer Seferi] he fought the other day."

Unexpected words from Whyte and their volatile nature was always going to prompt a response from the Gyspy King.

And the returning lineal champ delivered on Twitter, pretty much rubbishing Whyte's claims of trying to make a fight with him in September.

FURY'S TWEET

The idea of Whyte fighting Fury would be one that would intrigue boxing fans and would perhaps be one that the Gyspy King would consider.

Whyte has proven himself to be a top-class fighter and a win over Parker on Saturday evening would only elevate his status.

Fury may then view the Body Snatcher as an ideal high-quality warmup bout before trying to defeat Joshua and Deontay Wilder.

A victory wouldn't be certain and Whyte would surely jump at the chance to meet one of the biggest names in boxing face-to-face.

Fury's next comeback fight is against Italian Francesco Pianeta on August 18.
