Unai Emery faced his former side on Saturday as Arsenal took on Paris Saint-Germain in the International Champions Cup.Emery’s side had lost their previous ICC match to Atletico Madrid on penalties, while PSG lost 3-1 to Bayern Munich. But Emery was able to field a pretty strong XI for the friendly against PSG, with new signings Bernd Leno, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Matteo Guendouzi all starting the match.Alongside them, the likes of Hector Bellerin, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were also named in the starting XI.But Arsenal fans were all talking about who Emery named as captain for the game - Mesut Ozil.Ozil has made headlines this summer for his underwhelming World Cup campaign with Germany with his ongoing political involvement with the Turkish president. It led to the playmaker retiring from international football after Germany crashed out of the group stage. However, it seems Emery is certainly backing him and gave him the armband for the clash against PSG.And there was a very bizarre moment in the tunnel before the match itself. As Ozil was ready to lead out his Arsenal side in the National Stadium in Singapore, the referee appeared to ask for his autograph.Ozil agreed and, rather humorously, signed his yellow card.

Ozil soon rewarded Emery for handed his the captaincy by opening the scoring.

Aubameyang showed off his pace before squaring the ball to the German, who made no mistake with his finish to give Arsenal a 13th-minute lead.

We bet the referee enjoyed that goal.
