Arsenal's tour in Singapore really kicked into gear on Saturday afternoon.

After a penalty shootout defeat in their first game against Atletico Madrid, the Gunners bounced back in some style, beating Paris Saint-Germain 5-1.

The Ligue 1 champions may have fielded pretty much a reserve side, but Unai Emery's side still looked impressive.

Mesut Ozil made his first appearance of the season and dazzled, while Alexandre Lacazette found the back of the net twice after appearing from the bench.

Rob Holding, Eddie Nketiah and Ozil the scorers of the other three goals.

But even with a number of star names featuring in the match, one name dominated Arsenal Twitter yet again; Matteo Guendouzi.

The French U21 midfielder was a surprise £7m signing from Lorient, but he has looked really impressive out in South East Asia.

He had Arsenal fans raving about him against Atletico and he even managed to top that against PSG.

And there was one moment in the first half which really had supporters drooling.

Guendouzi delivered an inch-perfect long ball into Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with Gianluigi Buffon saving the resulting shot.

A real beauty and a lot of fans were impressed with how he combines the styles of some of Arsenal's more senior midfielders.

He can spray long passes similar to Granit Xhaka, but was also picking simple passes and dictating the tempo similar to Mohamed Elneny.

The glamour and the dirty work, a real bargain if he can carry it into the Premier League.

And renowned Arsenal writer James McNicholas tweeted during the game that Guendouzi reminds him of a certain Michael Carrick.

High praise indeed.

Given Arsenal's lack of depth in central midfield, Guendouzi could be a prominent figure in both the Premier League and the Europa League in 2018/19.

With Lucas Torreira and Ainsley Maitland-Niles available as options as well, Arsenal's midfield is beginning to show signs of life.
