Toby Alderweireld or Harry Maguire?

That appears to be the choice for Jose Mourinho and Manchester United.

Mourinho wants to sign a centre-back ahead of the start of Premier League season with him seemingly narrowing his choice down to two men.

Alderweireld seemed to be United’s first choice but they’re refusing to pay big money for a 29-year-old with just 12 months remaining on his current deal.

And so it looks to be Maguire or nothing.

But due to his impressive World Cup campaign, the Red Devils may have to shell out a fee similar to what Liverpool paid for Virgil van Dijk - £70 million.

But what does the player think of the potential move?

MAGUIRE MAKES HIS DECISION OVER MAN UTD MOVE

Having only spent one season at Leicester, the 25-year-old may want to continue his development at the King Power Stadium and put a massive move to United on hold for now.

But it seems that working under Mourinho at Old Trafford is a prospect too good to turn down.

According to Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett, Maguire has made it categorically clear that he’s decided he wants to move to Man Utd.

"We know he does want to go to Manchester United,” Dorsett explained on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast.

"He does want to go to Old Trafford. That’s been made pretty categorical to me in the last couple of days so you know that plays into the thinking of Leicester a little bit.

“I think Leicester will say no but what happens then with a potentially unhappy player going forward? Well, we wait to see."

MAGUIRE IS 'CONVINCED' HE'LL JOIN MAN UTD

Not only does he want the move but, according to Manchester Evening News, Maguire is ‘convinced’ he’ll be joining Man Utd.

They report “Harry Maguire is convinced he will join Manchester United” before adding “The Leicester defender is believed to be keen to head to Old Trafford, despite his club's determination to resist United's approach.”
