Fekir v Pulisic

Klopp has admitted that the deal for the Lyon playmaker is “probably done” but that could change, especially if Liverpool are able to sell some fringe players in the coming days.

The Reds have also been linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund youngster Christian Pulisic, who is reportedly available for £65m this summer.

So, who’s the better option?

Liverpool supporter @DavidC_LFC penned a detailed thread exploring the advantages of the two players.

Fekir is the more established of the two players but Pulisic comes with bags of potential.

Both would be welcome additions to the squad and it will be interesting to see if Klopp chases one aggressively before the window shuts.

Pulisic, 19, is a big fan of Klopp, having worked the with Liverpool boss for a period at Dortmund.

“He was there when I came,” Pulisic told Goal this week. “I was obviously playing with the youth teams at Dortmund, but he was the one who gave me my first professional training session, just to give me a taste of it.

“He always accepted me and he was very kind to me, so I will always be thankful for that.

“I know he’s a great guy, and it’s nice to see him doing so well for Liverpool.”

Bayern Munich are among the clubs interested in Pulisic - they view him as the ideal replacement for Arjen Robben - but Liverpool have proven this summer that they can compete for the top names.
