Xherdan Shaqiri's Liverpool career really is up and running. The Swiss playmaker was snapped up by Jurgen Klopp shortly before pre-season in a £13m deal from Stoke City.No one questioned the fee paid given the current state of the market, but there was a school of thought that Liverpool could have done better.Shaqiri is capable of the spectacular, but his inconsistency is not the kind of thing Liverpool need when challenging on multiple fronts in 2018/19.But against Manchester United in Michigan, Shaqiri looked like he'd been a Reds player for a few seasons already. He came on at half-time and made a stunning impact, setting up Daniel Sturridge to make it 2-1 and then scoring a bicycle kick to seal a the 4-1 win.Not a bad way to start, eh?You can watch Shaqiri's debut goal below.

That technique is simply outrageous and that is the kind of thing the Swiss star does have in his locker.

If he can repeat it on a regular basis, Liverpool's attack will look even more potent.

The fans are already firmly behind Shaqiri and former Reds striker Peter Crouch sent him a very humorous tweets after his exploits in the US.

CROUCH'S TWEET TO SHAQIRI

You just cannot beat Crouch on Twitter.

Despite some struggles during his time at Anfield, Crouch is still a very popular man in the eyes of Liverpool fans.

He scored some important goals during his time on Merseyside and actually scored a bicycle kick better than Shaqiri's against Galatasaray in 2006/07.

See Xherdan, that's how you do it.
