We get the impression that Jose Mourinho didn’t particularly enjoy watching his Manchester United side lose 4-1 to Liverpool on Saturday night. The Portuguese boss conducted a remarkable post-match interview where he questioned the fans’ decision to pay to watch the match, accused the referee of expecting to officiate a baseball match, slammed his youngsters that played and said Antonio Valencia had enjoyed his holiday too much and has returned out of shape. And that's not even all of the talking points. It was clear that Mourinho wanted to send Ed Woodward a message regarding the transfer window. So far, Mourinho has signed Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant in what has been a fairly underwhelming summer transfer window for United. And it seems Mourinho isn’t too happy with Woodward and the club’s hierarchy."I would like two more players. I don't think I'm going to have two," he said. "I think it's possible I'm going to have one.

"I gave my club a list of five names a few months ago. I wait to see if it's possible to have one of these players."

So who were those five players?

Well, the Mirror have revealed all.

JOSE MOURINHO'S WISHLIST THAT HE GAVE THE CLUB

Toby Alderweireld

The Spurs defender is Mourinho’s first choice defensive target but United are refusing to pay such a big fee for a player that is available for £25 million in 12 months time.

United have since turned their attention to Leicester’s Harry Maguire but, if Mourinho gets his way, Alderweireld will arriving at Old Trafford before the window closes.

Gareth Bale

Following his Champions League final heroics, it looked as though Bale would be leaving Real Madrid.

"I need to be playing week in week out and that hasn't happened this season for one reason or another, I need to sit down in the summer and discuss it with my agent and go from there,” he said after his brace in Kiev against Liverpool.

But Zinedine Zidane’s departure and Cristiano Ronaldo being sold to Juventus has seemingly given Bale the motivation to stay and prove himself at the Bernabeu.

Fred or Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

Fred was always Mourinho’s main midfield transfer target with Milinkovic-Savic as an alternative.

Mourinho would no doubt have been delighted after the club completed the £52 million signing of the Brazilian from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Willian

This could well be the player that Mourinho was referring to when he said "I would like two more players. I don't think I'm going to have two. I think it's possible I'm going to have one.”

With Anthony Martial’s future at the Theatre of Dreams looking doomed, Mourinho seems set to raid his former club for his former player.

Alex Sandro or Kieran Tierney

Mourinho has never been a big fan of Luke Shaw and Ashley Young is not a natural left-back. Therefore, it’s hardly surprising Mourinho was targeting a left-back this summer.

Mourinho would prefer Sandro but Juventus want £60 million for him.

Tierney would be considerably cheaper but may not be ready to start matches for Man Utd every week.
