It seems like any tactic the WWE tries to get Roman Reigns over with the audience, it just doesn't work.

We've had The Rock raise his arm in the middle of the ring at the Royal Rumble, and it speaks volumes when even The Great One us receiving an adverse reaction.

NEGATIVITY

This year alone, WWE has portrayed Brock Lesnar as the evil mercenary who doesn't care about the WWE, its fans or the Universal Championship - he merely turns up when he wants.

On paper, that should work, as The Big Dog is finally going to take the title off of The Beast so that Monday Night RAW has an active and defending champion.

Sadly, that hasn't worked too much either.

Then there's also the fact that WWE has paired him with Seth Rollins recently, considering he's arguably the most over star in the entire company right now.

However, WWE hasn't done themselves any real favours.

It was a nice surprise to see Bobby Lashley defeat the former Shield member clean at Extreme Rules.

NUMBER ONE CONTENDER...AGAIN

So, fans evidently weren't going to like the fact that he exacted his revenge two weeks later to punch his ticket to SummerSlam where he'll battle Lesnar for the third consecutive time.

Despite there still being so much negativity towards Reigns, future Hall of Famer Christian believes that at this point it doesn't even matter if he's getting cheered or booed.

When he was speaking on E&C's Pod of Awesomeness alongside Edge, Captain Charisma explained that he's getting a reaction, regardless of whether it's positive or negative.

INVESTED

According to The Inquisitr, he said: "I get why it’s the cool thing to hate Roman and this and that, but what it boils down to is, it doesn’t matter at this point whether he’s booed or cheered.

"People are invested in him, whether they hate him or love him. They react to him, and the dude’s f****** good, so whatever.”

Christian isn't the first to think the same way either.

Last week, Lashley himself revealed his confusion at the fans reacting to Reigns negatively after sharing the ring with him.

If anything, he was full of praise for Reigns and the talent he possesses.

At the end of the day, Reigns does get a lot of negative reactions inside of the arena, but he still has a lot of support which isn't always in the headlines.

Evidently, the WWE isn't going to drastically change their plans for him or his push - so fans may have to deal with that.
