A number of big stories caught the attention of NFL fans throughout the off-season - and one of those surrounded Dez Bryant. The wide receiver was released by the Dallas Cowboys back in April and since then, he's been a free agent. Number 88 is yet to find a new home - and he's running out of time to do so.

A STACKED CV

Whoever does pick up Dez, will be getting a pretty accomplished offensive player.

The 29-year-old spent eight seasons with Dallas - and he found a lot of personal success, even though the team didn't.

Bryant is a three-time Pro Bowler, he led the NFL in receiving touchdowns in 2014 and has 73 TDs in 99 starts.

FALLING OFF THE PACE

However, after a standout season in 2014, he's dropped off the pace - and managed just 17 touchdowns in his final three years.

It's those stats that are likely putting a number of teams off signing the aging receiver.

However, it appears that there still might be some solid interest in Bryant.

But it's not so much that a team that has voiced that interest. Rather, it's just one single player.

JOIN ME IN PITTSBURGH

Over the weekend, Antonio Brown tweeted his fellow wideout, inviting Dez to join the Pittsburgh Steelers.

"Come play with me @DezBryant let’s get the chip..........Eat Greedy......Big plates......." Brown wrote on Saturday night.

It's a pretty clear invitation, but it's probably not one that the Steelers will extend themselves.

After all, the team certainly doesn't need Bryant.

THIRD CHOICE WR?

Pittsburgh already have two receivers who are better than the free agent - Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster.

It would make no sense to sign the veteran - as he'd only be the third best player in his position.

However, Bryant did retweet Brown's offer, so it appears that he is actually interested.

Although it's highly unlikely that Dez will join the Steelers, wherever he goes, he'll need to adjust very quickly.

A QUICK ADJUSTMENT

After spending eight years with the Cowboys, Bryant only really knows one offense.

He'll have to adjust to new schemes, new teammates, new coaches and new surroundings - and getting up to speed with all that will probably take some time.

Throw in the fact that if he does sign with a new team, he'll be joining just one month before the new season.

It's usually hard enough for vets to make an instant impact when joining a new team with plenty of time to adjust - so for Dez, the task is even tougher.
