Chelsea are facing an awkward final week or so of the transfer window.

The Blues are on the hunt for fresh talent to fit new manager Maurizio Sarri's playing style, while also trying to keep hold of their established stars.

Thibaut Courtois, Eden Hazard and Willian have all been linked with high-profile moves to the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United.

There have been updates coming from both Spain and England with regards to the trio.

Hazard's future appears to be settled after Real Madrid marked him as too expensive, while Willian missed out on a move to Barca after the Blaugrana signed fellow Brazilian Malcom.

However, both Real Madrid and Manchester United reman keen on Willian and his saga looks set to go right down to the wire.

Courtois is the one who looks the most likely to leave, with the Belgian goalkeeper having just one year left on his current contract.

Los Blancos are again the team in pole-position and Chelsea have issued a pretty definitive update about the ordeal.

Sky Sports journalists Paul Gilmour tweeted that the Blues will let Courtois move to Madrid as long as they have a replacement brought in and announced before.

Should this not happen, Chelsea are willing to go into the new season with the Belgian between the sticks and are prepared to let him leave on a free next summer.

It's a risky game Chelsea are playing, but the £32m fee being quoted is a huge factor in all of this.

Is that amount really worth more than having a world-class goalkeeper for another season who could guide them back into the Champions League? Probably not.

The options on the market aren't exactly great either, with the Mirror reporting that Jack Butland is now their number one target after missing out on Alisson Becker.

That is why most fans in the comment section were more than happy for Chelsea to adopt such an approach.

If he stays, it will be interesting to see Courtois' reception on his return to Stamford Bridge.
