Rondo training drill

The Manchester United editor for the Manchester Evening News, Samuel Luckhurst, has been following the Reds on their US pre-season tour.

He posted a video of a Rondo, one-touch training drill on Monday afternoon.

It looks far more Sunday League than Premier League - so perhaps Mourinho has a point about the calibre of his players.

Man United fans on Twitter were appalled by their inability to string a few passes together.

Each of Man United's top six Premier League rivals will be committed to playing attractive football in the season ahead.

Man United's 2018/19 Premier League campaign kicks off in just 11 days.

They host Leicester City at Old Trafford but Mourinho is urging Ed Woodward to make more signings before the August 9 deadline.

As per various reports, Mourinho and Woodward are expected to have a meeting together in Miami this week.

Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant have been added to the first team squad but the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss reportedly wants two more signings.

Mourinho wants Woodward to sign him a new centre-back - likely Harry Maguire or Toby Alderweireld - and a forward.

Throughout the summer tour, Mourinho's press conferences have been incredibly negative and there can't be many pundits backing them to beat Man City to the title.
