Pace has been gathering recently about the opportunity for former champ Tyson Fury to step back in to the ring, with potential showdowns against Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder even discussed around the boxing world.Fury had his first professional boxing fight earlier this year since November 2015, in a bout that saw him defeat long-reigning champion Wladimir Klitschko, and one man doesn't think stepping back into the ring is the best idea for the Englishman.David Haye discussed the resurgence of Fury on TalkSPORT, explaining that coming back from such a long time away from the sport would not be the best idea."One thing we do know is boxers after having long breaks, even the greatest of all time Muhammad Ali came back and fought Joe Frazier and got beat." Haye went on to say: "Whenever a fighter even in his prime takes a big chunk of time out he can come back and do great things, but he is never quite as good as he once was." Clearly Fury is not in his prime right now, and hasn't been for some time, so to come back from such a long absence is not going to end well, Haye would believe."I'm hoping that's not the case for Tyson Fury."If Tyson Fury lived the life, if he was a clean eater, if he wasn't doing all the other things he's been doing in his life I could give him a shot at mixing with the best."

Fury stepped away from the sport in 2016 after suffering from mental health issues, as well as allegations about his personal life.

"But he's not looked after his body how he should have done. I believe that really lessens his chances in the top three. On his day, that would have been a toss up between all of them" (Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury).

It would seem that Haye would have loved to have seen Fury fight against Joshua and Wilder in his prime, but clearly sees how he would probably not stand a chance in his current state after two years away from the sport.
