Liverpool's pre-season tour of the US has been a resounding success.

After a loss to Borussia Dortmund in their first game, the Reds bounced back to beat both Manchester City and Manchester United.

And in both games against their direct Premier League rivals, a number of their youth players further highlighted how bright the future is at the club.

Curtis Jones, Nat Phillips and Rafael Camacho have all been brilliant and could be involved in first-team matters come the new season.

Ben Woodburn also showed his face out in the US, but he has now been sent out on loan to Sheffield United.

Nevertheless, there is still uncertainty over the goalkeeping debacle.

New £67m signing Alisson Becker will undoubtedly be the club's number one, but the situation below the Brazilian is what needs sorting.

Loris Karius' confidence has been shattered after that night in Kiev, while Simon Mignolet's future is as uncertain as ever.

Danny Ward - who Klopp suggested could be the club's new number one at certain points - has also joined Leicester in a £12m deal.

And it seems as if Klopp is prepared to gamble with his current goalkeeping situation.

As reported by John Percy of the Telegraph, the German manager is now open to selling both Karius and Mignolet this summer.

This would mean young goalkeepers Kamil Grabara and Caoimhin Kelleher would come straight into the first-team for the upcoming campaign.

While both have them have impressed in the US, their lack of experience surely can't be great for a team hopeful of challenging for multiple trophies.

Were Alisson to pick up a serious injury early in the campaign, Liverpool could find themselves in an unwanted predicament.

Not to mention that the Brazilian will want to be training with some more experienced heads at Melwood, not two teenage prospects.

Both Karius and Mignolet have their suitors, with Bayer Leverkusen the party pressing hardest for the German.

As for Mignolet, the Belgian is currently being courted by Barcelona according to Sky Sports.

There's bound to be a lot of twists and turns before deadline day on August 9. Joe Hart anyone?
