The self-confidence of Tyson Fury may not be to everyone's liking, but you have to admire him for not wanting to shy away from a challenge.Fury has often used his social media platforms to call on the likes of Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder for a fight, and while they have often fallen in deaf ears, it appears that his perseverance may have finally paid off.Over the last few days, it has emerged that a deal is in the works that will see Fury meet Wilder, potentially in December.Wilder's manager Jay Deas recently said: “Both teams want the biggest fight possible."This would be an enormous fight, just enormous."One thing I can say for certain: If this can be worked out, Deontay Wilder would have been involved in the two biggest fights of 2018, Wilder-(Luis) Ortiz and Wilder-Fury."And if he were to win against Fury, as we fully expect, then Deontay would be an international superstar in control of the boxing world."This would be the fight of the year. We’d have 13 feet, 4 inches (Fury is 6-foot-9, Wilder 6-7) and 500 pounds of hard-punching, trash-talking, knockout heavyweights.”However, Tony Bellew is not completely convinced by Wilder's credentials.Speaking on talkSPORT, Bellew has not been won over by the unorthodox style of the 'windmill artist' Wilder.Bellew, who is close to finalising his next fight with Oleksandr Usyk, certainly didn't hold back his criticism of the American champion."He’s the most unknown heavyweight champion of all time.

"It’s unbelievable considering the run that he’s had – I think he’s close to nearly 40 or 50 fights. It’s absolutely ridiculous."I mean, I have a better CV than him and I’m not even a heavyweight.

"You know, I’ve got two wins over a former unified cruiserweight champion of the world and a former heavyweight champion of the world, in David Haye."

"My victories over Haye are better than anyone he’s beaten. That’s a fact, that’s not even up for debate. David Haye’s CV is better than anyone.”

Motivation is not hard to find in a sport like boxing and Wilder will be all too aware of Bellew's comments.

It could be that Wilder could do his talking in the ring, and that could spell trouble for Fury if they were to meet in the near future.
