Chelsea captain John Terry has been passed fit to play at West Ham but midfielder Frank Lampard still needs more time to recover from hernia surgery and will miss out.

Terry has recovered from the hamstring strain that kept him out of the England qualifiers against Bulgaria and Switzerland.

Young France international Gael Kakuta is included in the Chelsea squad and new signing Ramires could be given his first start since joining from Benfica. Full-back Jose Bosingwa is still sidelined with a knee injury.
