Arsenal's pre-season ended with a win after they beat Chelsea 6-5 on penalties at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Alex Iwobi converted the winning spot kick after 10 had been scored in a row, Ruben Loftus-Cheek the only player to miss.

Petr Cech's penalty record at Arsenal isn't great, but he thwarted the England international and did the same to Alvaro Morata in normal time.

Antonio Rudiger had given the Blues the lead and the Spaniard was handed the chance to get a much-needed goal soon after - which he could not take.

After Morata's miss, Arsenal really improved following a shocking opening to the game, countering at will and stretching Maurizio Sarri's defence.

In the end, they had to settle for an injury-time equaliser courtesy of second-half substitute Alexandre Lacazette.

The Frenchman has now scored three times in pre-season and will be pushing for a start against Manchester City next weekend.

And the build-up to his goal was what really got Arsenal fans talking.

The exciting Reiss Nelson picked up the assist with a delicious ball across goal, but the pass before was the real moment of magic.

And it was constructed perfectly by Mesut Ozil, who was brilliant throughout in Dublin.

You can watch, and marvel at, his reverse pass below.

VIDEO: OZIL AT HIS VERY BEST

Not many players in the world are capable of pulling that off and making it look so easy.

Even Nelson looked a tad surprise to see the ball roll into the space in front of him. Ozil's match highlights are also available to watch below.

There was also a touching moment when he handed his shirt to a young supporter after the shootout.

He looks like he's shaken off his horrible summer with Germany and Arsenal fans were more than happy to see the playmaker at the peak of his powers.

FANS REACT

Unai Emery's reign at Arsenal will be closely monitored by all football fans, but in Ozil, the Spaniard has a player of genuine world-class quality to take the team forward.
