Aspas on Vinicius

Spain international Iago Aspas has also been warming up for the 2018/19 La Liga season for Celta Vigo.

The 31-year-old forward produced some lovely stepovers against Southampton before firing in a brilliant finish.

AS posted an article of the brilliant goal on Twitter and titled it: "Aspas copies the style of Vinicius."

Aspas, who joined the Celta academy five years before Vinicius was even born, tweeted a response to AS.

He wrote: "When I started doing stepovers, Vinicius was still a child."

Aspas absolutely nailed it!

He famously flopped during his time at Liverpool but only Cristiano Ronaldo, Leo Messi and Luis Suarez have scored more La Liga goals in the last two seasons.

Ronaldo left the Santiago Bernabeu for Juventus this summer so Vinicius can expect more playing time.

The young Real Madrid star compared himself to Neymar at his unveiling - and admitted that he dreams of playing alongside the PSG star.

"I think my style of play is similar to Neymar. They have compared me to [retired Brazil striker] Ronaldo but to be like both would be great," said Vinicius.

"Neymar is my idol, the idol of all Brazilians, of everyone. I dream of playing with Neymar, and if God wills it, I will play with him soon for Brazil."
