Lucas Digne is a fantastic signing for Everton. The French full-back has an impressive resume, having played for Paris Saint-Germain, AS Roma and FC Barcelona in his career. He signed for the Toffees in a deal worth £18 million earlier this week. However, Liverpool fans picked up on something they found very amusing after the Frenchman signed for their bitter rivals.Digne has a tattoo saying 'I never walk alone' on his chest, which is of course very similar to the song that Liverpool are associated with.Understandably, Digne got a lot of stick for his tattoo.

But he has now fired back at Everton's bitter rivals, and he has done so sensationally.

Speaking in his press-conference earlier today, Digne stated: "My tattoo has a story & it's not about football... maybe Liverpool fans are angry because I said two times no to them".

Wow. That is brutal. What a way to become an instant hit with Everton fans.

It's fair to say Liverpool supporters won't be too happy with that at all.

Digne told Everton fans what to expect about him after signing earlier this week.

"I think the first is I'm a good defender," he said. "If you're a good defender it's the best thing for a left-back.

"After of course you need to attack! Now in football the right back and the left back need to be good in attack too - to cross well, to be quick.

"I enjoy it. At Barcelona you have a lot of possession and you attack, but you need to defend and sometimes people don't look at the defensive character of the team.

"It's difficult because you are always one-on-one or two-on-one because a lot of players attack and the defence are alone. But it's very nice to play at Barcelona.

"Last year I played once at centre-back, I can play there but it's not my real position!"

The 25-year-old also revealed how he wanted to win his place back in France's national team this season.

"Personally I want to play a lot of games and win a lot of games. It's important for the team, for the club," Digne added.

"It's my ambition, I want to get into the national team, but I need to play more and I need to be putting in good performances."
