When Kevin Durant decided to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder in favour of a move to the Golden State Warriors to hunt down an NBA championship, many people slandered him for it.The most popular term that many people called him was a snake, and even to this day many people still refer to KD as a snake.Another player that has joined him with this description this offseason is DeMarcus Cousins after he signed a one-year deal with the franchise, even after they eliminated his former team, the New Orleans Pelicans, from the playoffs last season.Boogie recently shared a photo on Instagram of the rapper Drake wearing a John L. LeFlore High School jersey in his In My Feelings music video, the high school which DeMarcus used to go to.Since his former high school’s basketball team was called the Rattlers, Cousins asked his followers to drop the snake emoji as a shoutout to his fellow LeFlore HS alumni. What's funny about this is one person who played along and dropped a snake emoji on the post is his fellow Warriors teammate Durant.

It seems that, just like Durant has managed to do over the past two years, Cousins is also making fun of those that call him a snake for joining up with Golden State in order to chase his personal goal of winning an NBA title.

Perfect signing

According to USA Today, Durant felt the Warriors signing Cousins was the perfect addition for the team.

He said: “I was so excited because I knew how important this time was for DeMarcus, to find a team (and) find somebody that’s going to help him get through this injury first and then play his best basketball.

“I think it’s going to be perfect for both spots. For him and for us.”
