It's fair to say that Manchester United have endured a pretty ordinary pre-season, however there have been some bright spots.Andreas Pereira was the stand-out player of the United States tour and United did respond to Club America and San Jose Earthquakes draws by beating AC Milan and Real Madrid. Before they kick off the new Premier League season against Leicester City on Friday, the Red Devils lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich in their final friendly match.Jose Mourinho gave Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof a rare chance to start together at the heart of the defence, and the young pair showed promising signs. After some erratic moments in America, Bailly looked at his best in Munich and there were two moments in particular that United fans enjoyed very much.

Bailly to lead Man Utd's back four?

Man Utd have been linked with several centre-backs this summer, most notably England international Harry Maguire and Tottenham's Toby Alderweireld.

However, Bailly was Mourinho's first signing as United manager, he's worn the captain's armband during this pre-season and has the credentials to be a top-class defender.

Man United have Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo at their disposal, but lots of people want Bailly and Lindelof to be given an extended run in the XI.

Bailly bosses it v Bayern

Before coming off injured early in the second half, the Ivorian was in dominant mood against Bayern on Sunday night and took no prisoners.

As you can see below, Serge Gnabry was dealt with in no uncertain terms whatsoever when he attempted to win back possession in the 17th-minute.

If an aggressive shoulder barge and shepherding the ball out of play wasn't enough, Man Utd supporters also couldn't get over his antics inside the first few minutes.

With the ball going out of play (which would've resulted in a Bayern corner), most people would have probably sprinted in order to avoid conceding a set-piece.

However, in unbelievably cool fashion, Bailly casually strolled over towards the ball in no hurry and then chipped a perfect pass to the feet of Matteo Darmian.
